Our request is a long, healthy life and universal consciousness for all mankind.

Balance of Shakti and Bhakti

The serpents climbing the sword represent the two polarities Shakti and Bhakti harmonizing as they raise.
The double sword represents the power of the creator manifesting.

The word Guna is a very general word to describe the particular qualities / states / nature of something.
Used in relationship to Yoga Guna refers to the three basic states of human existence:

Triguna: Body – Mind – Soul

  1. BODY = Rajic. This is the primary energy of the human; it is our power on the physical. The master of the physical is the warrior; he gains his power through Shakti Yoga. The test presented by Raj Guna is the mastery of time and space.
  2. Mind = Tamisc. This describes the mental level of existence and how we control or not control our power. The master of Tamo Guna is Raj Yoga. The test in Tamo guna is finding the balance between control and chaos.
  3. SOUL = Satvic. This is the light element of the human, our spiritual nature. The master of the spiritual is the saint / yogi, their power comes from Bhakti Yoga. The test of Sat Guna is attachment. The finale attachment we must break is the attachment to the light.

Triguna Yoga

Triguna Yoga is based on the synergetic relationship the three Gunas possess. This is known as the principal of Kriya or Synergy. “The total of the whole is greater then the sum total of the segments .” Kriya / Synergy can increase the effect to the total by a factor of 10% to 50% Kriya / Synergy is a fusion style reaction of energies which means it has an infinite source.

The Kriya affect of Tri Guna Yoga is produced by the regular and energetic practice of the arts of the polarities Shakti Yoga & Bhakti Yoga. As both energies are increased they form a profound synergetic relationship which allows each to geometrically increase beyond the capacity if only a single art is practiced alone. The moment of fusion occurs when both energies reach a significant level and automatically harmonizes, neutralizing themselves Ardhanraewshara producing the Adi Shakti the highest state of human perfection Shiva. This is the state of energy in which a human takes on God like qualities.

Patanjalis describes this theory in the last sutra of Yoga Dharsana:

“Emancipation (kaivalya) is achieved when the Gunas, are no longer an effect on consciousness the polarities have been united. With the unification complete the Gunas fulfill their original purpose and merge back into the totality. With the disturbance of the gunas removed our true nature and self identity can be realized. Thus is the state of perfect balance and undisturbed peace achieved known as Nirvana.”
